THE WORLD LAND TRUST
AND A FOREST

TO BE SAVED

1 METRE OF FABRIC FOR

1 METRE OF FOREST

In a faraway corner of Argentina, there is an uncontaminated stretch of rainforest
which has retained its original biodiversity. In 2010 we decided to protect
this pivotal resource for our Planet by supporting an initiative undertaken
by the World Land Trust, an organisation that works for the preservation of forests
and other important wildlife habitats in third world countries.

A successful project
WLT certificate

With the SensitivEcoSystem® project, EUROJERSEY undertook to fund the protection of 1 metre of rainforest for every metre of Sensitive® Fabrics warp-knit fabric sold, for a five year period, from 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2014. The official certificate attests that, with each metre of Sensitive® Fabrics purchased, all our costumers contributed to the protection of a portion of forest, saving a total of 36,791,539 m2, an area as large as 6,526 soccer fields, 29,628 Olympic size swimming pools, 1,305 times as big as St. Peter's Square in Rome. The area is a unique ecosystem on account of the natural characteristics of the vegetation and the animal species it is home to, including many at risk of extinction. A highly successful result, achieved thanks to the constant commitment of the Company.
