A glimpse of the world, initially, but also a strong stimulus to find another meaning, because the iris has a shape reminiscent of a flower, which perhaps in everyday life we do not have the time, or the desire, to stop and admire, to enjoy its beauty that moves and soothes. If it was a relief, a moment of beauty in the midst of difficulty, to discover that even while wearing protective masks one could recognise oneself and communicate through the expressive power of one’s eyes, today the invitation is to turn one’s gaze inward, to re-discover one’s soul, to re-establish a good intimacy with one’s self.
