Tangible sustainable goals

Years of focused research and investments have made the Company a model of efficiency with full respect for the environment. The integrated production cycle enables the reduction of resources such as Water and Energy, Co2 emissions. Through the SensitivEcoSystem® program started in 2007, EUROJERSEY strives to involve clients and consumers in a project for eco-sustainable development which follows the entire lifecycle of Sensitive® Fabrics.

EPD CERTIFICATION

The Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is based on the evaluation of the environmental impact of a square metre of Sensitive® Fabrics with specific parameters, such as energy, CO2 emissions, water eutrophication and acidification.

CLIMATE CERTIFICATION

The Climate Certification, also known as Carbon Footprint, is an abridged form of the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). It attests the quantity of CO2 generated per unit product, which in our case is a square metre of fabric from the Sensitive® Fabrics range.

ISO 14001 CERTIFICATION

The certification for conformity to standards UNI EN ISO 14001 is renews every year and attests that EUROJERSEY meets the environmental management requirements set out in the standards, keeping the principles of sustainable development for the Sensitive® Fabrics range.

OEKO-TEX

Attests that Sensitive® Fabrics range do not contain and do not release any harmful substances that can be hazardous to people’s health. Finished products undergo painstaking laboratory analyses checking for the presence/release of harmful substances, such as pesticides, heavy metals, formaldehyde, aromatic amines, allergizing colorants. The requirements and thresholds are constantly updated based on the latest medical-scientific studies.

EU REACH REGULATION

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) is a recording, evaluation and authorisation system that governs the use and import of harmful chemicals. EUROJERSEY has undertaken to comply with the system in every respect and makes sure that its raw materials suppliers in their turn comply with the applicable health and safety standards , as attested by our OEKO-TEX certification.

CM 4SUSTAINABILITY

The Chemical Management certificate declares the Company’s adoption of the ZDHC protocol for the elimination of toxic and harmful substances in production processes. An approach that has led EUROJERSEY to reach the “advanced” level of the path, supporting the “ZDHC roadmap to zero” as a contributor.
