What we eat
We feed on plankton.

Where we come from
We are part of big, dense and orderly schools that remain in the depths during the day and swim to the surface at night to feed. We are found in the north-eastern Atlantic and the western Mediterranean.

What you can do
In the northern Adriatic and the European Atlantic, fish stocks seem to be in danger due to overfishing. This is why it is important to make sure the fish you are buying has the blue MSC label (Marine Stewardship Council).
