EUROJERSEY, on the basis of what it started in 2023 with FAI – Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano, renews its proximity and supports its #salvalacqua campaign to protect and enhance the architectural and landscape heritage in the field of water recovery, saving and reuse through a dedicated audit. During the redevelopment of its sites, the Foundation’s commitment is infact to be able to reduce the water footprint of the Estates by 20% by 2030. This will be achieved through a reduction in waste, the use of non-drinking water for all possible uses, and the use of historical and innovative technologies for the recovery of rainwater, grey water and their reuse.
This is thanks to a highly efficient study that favours the recovery of ancient traditional systems alongside cutting-edge research solutions. The result of this process will make it possible to produce a report with precise evidence and continuous monitoring that FAI will use to prepare a more accurate management of the water resource and improvement interventions in the Estates examined.

The #salvalacqua 2024 campaign has, among its various objectives, the initiation of water efficiency works at the splendid Balbianello Villa, which from the tip of the small wooded peninsula of Lavedo, jutting out into Lake Como, elegantly overlooks a wide panorama that makes it one of the most scenic residences on the Lario.The FAI’s water consumption audit also involves Masino Castle with its park that has dominated the vast Canavese plain for over a thousand years. And, certainly not least, Moroni Palace in Bergamo, which has belonged to the Moroni family since 1646. In this is exceptionally well preserved in its original layout: from the interiors on the main floor to the gardens, which extend at the foot of the Rocca civica, among panoramic terraces and an agricultural area – the kitchen garden – of about two hectares.
